Centre for Sustainability Leadership Privacy Policy

At the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (“the Centre”), we are committed to protecting the personal information of our volunteers, interns and participants in the Future Sustainability Leaders program (“FSL program”). When or before we collect personal information from you, we will make every reasonable attempt to inform you of:
•    The purpose for which the information is collected and its intended use;
•    To whom we will disclose that information;
•    Where applicable, any law requiring information to be collected; and
•    The main consequences if all or part of the information is not provided.

In general, we collect your personal information for the following purposes:

•    To assess applications for volunteer positions, internships and admission to the FSL program;
•    To manage your participation in volunteer activities;
•    To manage your participation in the Internship program;
•    To manage your participation in the FSL program;
•    To manage your participation in the FSL residential retreats;
•    To facilitate your participation in the FSL alumni program;

What does your personal information include?

Personal information means information or an opinion concerning you. It may include your contact details, academic results, references, opinions about your academic performance, work experience or performance and any other information obtained by the Centre relevant to your participation in volunteer activities, the Internship program or the FSL program.

Personal information may include sensitive information, including information or opinion about health issues. We generally do not seek to collect such sensitive information however sometimes it may be important to your well being. Such sensitive information, in most cases, may only be collected and disclosed with your consent or if required by law.
